The 2026 FIFA World Cup is officially underway, as fans from all over the globe have descended upon North America to watch the beautiful game.

With that, plenty of folks who have never even seen America up close are getting a firsthand account of just how awesome this country can be when you really stop and take in all it has to offer.

The Internet became intimately familiar with a German fan by the name of Freddy documenting his trip through the American South, but everyone's favorite dude from Deutschland isn't the only foreign soccer fan in awe of the United States.

While pickup trucks, country music and trips to Hooters may be commonplace for many of you reading this, for a British fan who made the pilgrimage to the good ol' U-S-of-A, it was a mind-blowing experience that few Europeans could even comprehend.

Look at the excitement! And who could blame him?

He probably went from eating fish and chips with a side of mashed peas to scarfing down a basket of wings surrounded by beautiful women.

You might not be aware of this, but refills aren't free in a lot of European countries.

The horror! But it gets even worse. They don't even put ice in your drinks over there.

Check out this Italian getting his world rocked by receiving infinite refills for his ice-cold soda.

Take it easy, killer! We don't use real sugar over here, so who knows what a dozen of those will do to your body.

But nothing compares to the pure joy that a man from Scotland experienced when he made his way to the mecca of gas stations: Buc-ee's.

If you've never been to one, you're missing out, but I will let our Scottish tourist here explain, in detail, what is so magical about this ode to capitalism.

"A gas station mixed with Disney World wrapped in a gift shop," is such an apt description of Buc-ee's, I don't think I could have done a better job myself.

Speaking of Scotland, how about these Scots who rented a house in Boston for the World Cup and decided to share the song of their people with the rest of the neighborhood at 6 in the morning?

And I'm not talking about a Bluetooth speaker, either.

Their weapon of choice? Bagpipes.

And it's not just Europeans, either.

Check out this Japanese sports reporter who came over from the Land of the Rising Sun to sample some of the local fare.

I bet they don't have Nashville hot chicken or GooGoo Clusters back home.

It started with Freddy and has made its way through countless visitors from far off lands showing off everything that makes America special.

As I've said before, you don't need to be from Europe or Japan to appreciate what we have here in the United States.

It's become almost "en vogue" to dismiss America as a dump or devoid of culture, but there is so much beauty in every direction.

Hopefully, by the end of this year's World Cup, everyone's eyes will be open to the fact that this country is a great one, and it shouldn't take a bunch of visitors to tell us that.
