Odisha to scrap 358 redundant Acts from statute book
The Odisha cabinet has approved the repeal of 358 Acts. These laws, enacted between 1974 and 2025, were identified as redundant and obsolete. The Odisha State Law Commission recommended their removal. This move aims to declutter the statute book and reduce public confusion. The Odisha Repealing Bill, 2026, will be enacted to formalize the repeal.
