2 get life imprisonment for murder
Two men, Basudev Behera and Gouranga Mohanty, have been sentenced to life imprisonment for a murder committed 27 years ago. The Jagatsinghpur court found them guilty of killing Birabara Behera, a medicine shop owner, on January 13, 1999, due to past enmity. Each convict also faces an additional six months if they fail to pay a Rs 5,000 fine.
