Charlize Theron Shares An Ultra-Rare Snap Of Her Tween Daughters: 'My Greatest Honor'
Charlize Theron’s “greatest honor” in life is being a mom to her two daughters, and she shared a rare photo of her girls to prove it.
In celebration of Mother’s Day, the actress shared a series of photos of her rarely-seen daughters, Jackson Theron, 14, and August Theron, 11. In the May 10 Instagram post, Theron cozied up to her girls during a nap on a boat. That photo was followed by selfies in the sun, funny faces, and a group photo of them enjoying a day out in the city.
“The greatest honor of my life,” she wrote alongside the post. “Happy mother’s day to all moms, oumas and godmothers.”
The 50-year-old star is a single mom to Jackson and August, whom she adopted in 2012 and 2015, respectively. She’s been open about being glad she opted to become a parent alone.
“It’s probably one of the healthiest decisions I ever made,” she explained on the Call Her Daddy podcast in July 2025. “I love every single day of it. I love that I don’t have to share them with somebody. I love that I don’t have to run a f–king thing by a guy.” She added: “This is how I wanted it to be.”
“I can only tell you that this is the best way that I know how to be a mother to them. And maybe they’ll grow up and tell their story, and I will respect that. I just know that this was the only way that I knew I could do it,” she said.
“And my f—— God, do I love every single day of it,” she continued. “I love that I don’t have to share them with somebody.”
