'We have become the dumbest country': Trump 'Minister of Tourism' greeted rudely on X
Trump's "Minister of Tourism" was met with brutal ridicule when he announced his new social media account on X.
Special Presidential Envoy Nick Adams, who was a former MAGA influencer before the administration hired him, joined X on Saturday with a post saying, "Honored to serve President Trump as the first-ever U.S. 'Minister of Tourism' — representing travel and tourism, as well as brand ambassador for the greatest country on Earth."
Adams wasn't given a warm welcome to X, where he faced criticism for his post and the way he phrased his job title, "Minister of Tourism."
"We have become the dumbest country," S.V. Date, senior White House correspondent at HuffPost, reacted on X.
"Another of Australia's worst exports," journalist Max Uechtritz posted, referring to where Adams was born. "Note he says he's honoured to serve Trump...not his adopted country."
Republican podcast host Liam Donovan joked that he'd like to find "a non-confirmed diplomatic post" like the one Adams has.
