Hugh Jackman’s Shock Met Gala Appearance With Sutton Foster Shows He’s Fast-Tracking to Cut Out Ex Wife Deborra-Lee Furness
While it’s been years since Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness called it quits, we’re still playing catch-up. Their divorce may be done, but their shared assets are still very much at play, and it seems Jackman is eager to unload them all before officially moving forward with girlfriend Sutton Foster.
Weeks before Foster and Jackman’s surprise Met Gala appearance, he secretly relisted one of the marital homes he shared with Furness. They originally bought the house in 2009 for $21.1 million, and now, per the DailyMail, the five-bedroom, six-bathroom pad has a new price tag of $28.7 million; and it’s officially on the market.
So it seems that he’s trying as hard as he can to shed his past as he moves on with Foster.

For those who don’t know, Jackman and Furness married in April 1996, after meeting on the show Correlli the year prior. They adopted two children named Oscar Maximillian, born in May 2000, and Ava Eliot, born in July 2005.
Sadly, the pair called it quits after 27 years together, and separated in Sept 2023. They have yet to officially file for divorce, allegedly due to no prenup being in place. Then, Jackman and Foster’s relationship allegedly began as an affair in 2022, while they were working together on The Music Man on Broadway. They had met over a decade prior, in 2008, when they saw Shrek on Broadway.
Per a bombshell November 2024 report in Us Weekly, Jackman and Foster’s alleged affair seemingly caused his divorce from Furness. But in Oct 2025, the pair made their red carpet debut, and in May 2026, they made their Met Gala debut (which was seriously shocking for everyone)!
