The spring is here, which means that the MLB season is back in full force and the NBA, NHL, and PWHL Playoffs are well underway. We've rounded up the top sports on TV (nationally broadcast or streaming), and the best ways to live stream the games.
Some of the most enticing events on May 7, 2026, include the start of the Truist Championship, the last legs of the Europa League and Conference League semifinals, and Game 2 of the Los Angeles Lakers vs. Oklahoma City Thunder Western Conference Semifinals.
This is by no means a comprehensive list of all sports on TV today, but the roundup covers the most notable events across popular leagues. Just keep in mind that some games (including the MLB) have blackouts in local markets and for nationally broadcast games.

How to watch ESPN
Several different services allow cord-cutters to live stream ESPN. ESPN Unlimited, ESPN's direct streaming counterpart, costs $30 a month and unlocks full live streaming across all of ESPN's linear networks.
ESPN is also available through top live TV streaming services, like DirecTV, Fubo, Sling TV, and YouTube TV. The network is available in the service's main plans and cheaper sports-centric packages.
DirecTV's MySports genre pack costs $65 a month, but new users can get $20 a month off their first two months of service after a five-day free trial. Fubo's Sports + News plan costs $56 a month, but new users can get $10 off their first month after a five-day free trial. Sling TV's Essentials plan costs $20 a month. YouTube TV's Sports plan costs $65 a month, but new users can get $10 a month off their first year of service after a 21-day free trial.
How to watch TNT and truTV
Sporting events that air on TNT and truTV are available to live stream on HBO Max via B/R Sports. This option is included in HBO Max's ad-free tiers, which start at $18.49 a month.
TNT and truTV are also available through live TV services, such as DirecTV, Sling TV, and YouTube TV. The networks are available in DirecTV's MySports genre pack, which costs $65 a month (although new customers can get $20 a month off their first two months of service after a five-day free trial).
TNT and truTV are also carried in YouTube TV's Sports plan, which costs $65 a month (although new users can get $10 a month off for a year after a 21-day free trial). Additionally, TNT is available in both of Sling's main plans. Sling Orange costs $46 a month, and Sling Blue starts at $46 a month, but the latter sometimes costs more with local channels. Orange is also available in short-term passes, the cheapest of which is $5 for single-day access.
How to watch Willow TV
You can catch all the IPL action on Willow TV, the best streaming option for US-based cricket fans. You can subscribe directly through the Willow website or get Willow access through most popular live TV services. We recommend trying Sling TV for this, since the streamer's Desi plans include Willow and additional channels for about the same price as a standard Willow stand-alone subscription. Sling's Dakshin Flex plan costs $10 a month, and the Desi Binge Plus plan costs $15 a month, but you can get your first month for $10.
How to watch the Tennis Channel
The Tennis Channel is available to live stream directly via a subscription through its website, or by using a live TV streaming service, such as DirecTV, Fubo, Sling TV, and YouTube TV.
The Tennis Channel is carried in both DirecTV and Fubo's sports plans. DirecTV MySports costs $65 a month, but first-time customers can get $20 a month off their first two months of service in addition to a five-day free trial. Fubo Sports + News costs $56 a month, but new users can get $10 off their first month after a five-day free trial.
Sling TV and YouTube TV are two other Tennis Channel-friendly options, though you'll need add-ons to access the channel since it's not included in any base plan. For Sling, you'll need a base plan and then the Sports Extra add-on (an additional $11 a month). You can also add Sports Extra to a short-term pass. For YouTube TV, you'll need a base plan and the Sports Plus add-on, which costs an extra $11 a month.
