Pennant Point hiking adventure, Nova Scotia
We travelled to Crystal Crescent Beach Provincial Park to hike the Pennant Point Loop. This hike take you over some beautiful rugged landscapes that seem to change after every turn you make. It is not a really hard hike but it does provide plenty of rugged, muddy, ankle twisting and slippery sections as you make you way around the loop.
When we arrived we had to park just outside the park gates as it is nit yet open for the season, from the car it is about a kilometer to the trailhead. Good chance to warm up the legs. We travelled in total about 12 kms during our somewhat trail bound hike, we stopped plenty of times to enjoy the beautiful views and sights. This trip we packed some sandwiches to enjoy at the half way point on the trail. Weather was perfect for this wander, not super hot and a nice breeze to keep the heat from building up.
This was a fantastic hike and we were all quite happy to make it back to the car for a quick stop at a nearby store for a cold drink and some snacks.
