German minesweeper sets sail for possible Hormuz mission
A German minesweeper has set sail for the Mediterranean this Monday in preparation for a possible deployment in the Strait of Hormuz. Berlin has said it is prepared to contribute to ensure the freedom of navigation in the waterway in the Middle East, where Tehran has blocked traffic in retaliation after the United States launched airstrikes against Tehran at the end of February. But Germany said it will act only if certain conditions are met.
