St. John’s transfer Joson Sanon commits to West Virginia

St. John’s transfer Joson Sanon is headed to the Big 12 to play for West Virginia, per reports.
Sanon, in his lone season at St. John’s, averaged 7.9 points and 2.4 rebounds per game for the Johnnies this season.
A 6-foot-5 guard originally from Massachusetts, Sanon played 27 games for Bobby Hurley at Arizona State during his freshman season, where he averaged 11.9 points and 3.4 rebounds per game for the Sun Devils.
In addition to Sanon, the Mountaineers have added five additional transfers, as well as four high-school commits.
Sanon joins a recruiting class that consists of four-star Miles Sadler, three-star Aliou Dioum, three-star Keonte Greybear, class of 2026 center Amadou Seini, Utah transfer Seydou Traore, Florida State transfer Martin Somerville, Georgia Tech transfer Mo Sylla, Butler transfer Finley Bizjack and Boise State transfer Javan Buchanan.
