Last week, it emerged that Man United had set their sights on a deal for Van de Ven, and they have now been joined by their fierce rivals in the transfer race.

The Dutchman’s experience in the Premier League, allied with the possibility that he could be available if Spurs get relegated, has put both giants ‘on alert’.
It is suggested that it could be tricky for Tottenham to persuade the 25-year-old to stay, even if they stay up, but the central defender will not come cheap.
The North London club could demand £60m-£80m for Van de Ven, who is contracted to Tottenham until 2029.
