Manchester United have extended the contracts of two academy stars, as per The Sun.
The report reveals that Dan Gore and Ethan Ennis have “silently” penned new extensions.
Gore has now been tied down until 2028 as he eyes a breakthrough into the first-team setup during pre-season.
The 21-year-old spent this campaign gaining valuable experience on loan at Rotherham United.
The central midfielder made 34 appearances and bagged three assists but could not save his side from relegation to League Two after finishing in the 23rd place.
For Gore, the season was primarily about regaining fitness and building rhythm after battling injuries over the past two years.
He had previously joined Port Vale in January 2023, but his loan spell was cut short after just one appearance due to injury.
United are ready to revamp their midfield this summer and Gore could be one of the players who could earn a promotion.
Ennis enjoyed a productive and encouraging loan stint at Fleetwood Town this season.
The young forward started 36 matches for the League Two side, scoring three goals and providing seven assists.
His consistent performances have reportedly impressed United, prompting the club to activate an extension clause to keep him for another 12 months.
There is also a strong possibility that the Red Devils will open talks to offer him a longer-term deal this summer.
United recently made headlines by extending Kobbie Mainoo’s contract, securing his services until 2031.
It is no surprise that they are already planning for think about next season with only four games remaining in the campaign.
