Deprived of nukes, is Iran eyeing dolphins to attack U.S. warships?
President Donald Trump’s Operation Epic Fury to make sure the rogue Islamists in Tehran cannot continue to realistically threaten neighbors and the world with nuclear annihilation has run into a complication.
That would be the possibility of weaponized dolphins being used by Iran to attack U.S. warships in the Strait of Hormuz.

Reporting at the Wall Street Journal said, “Iranian officials said Tehran could use previously unused weapons to attack U.S. warships, from submarines to mine-carrying dolphins. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has threatened to set up escalation by cutting phone cables in the Strait of Hormuz, which would disrupt internet traffic globally.”
A comment from Not the Bee was, “Hold onto your hats: Iran has reached a whole new level of desperation. And by ‘desperation,’ I mean ‘bomb-carrying suicide dolphins.'”
The New York Post explained the U.S. has been blockading Iranian ports, meaning the regime has no way to deliver oil to be sold, and its economic is tanking as a result.
“While the tense extended cease-fire with the US holds, a growing number of Iranian hardliners believe that the financial crisis sparked by the U.S. blocking Iran’s oil exports amounts to an act of war and have called for resuming military action,” the report said.
“Iran is considering using dolphins armed with mines to blow open the Strait of Hormuz.”
The post noted that the regime actually has implemented weaponized dolphins in the past.
“Iran bought dolphins trained to kill for the Soviet navy in 2000, the BBC reported at the time. The animals were trained to attack the Islamic Republic’s enemies with harpoons attached to their backs, the outlet reported. They were also trained to undertake kamikaze strikes against enemy ships by carrying mines.”
