Manchester United are set to face Liverpool at Old Trafford in the Premier League on Sunday.

United head coach Michael Carrick has delivered the team news ahead of the clash.

He said in the pre-match press conference: “We’re in good shape really.

“Matheus has done a little bit of work, so we’re hopeful. We’re not sure but we’re hopeful.

“Matta is still a little bit further [off] and not involved in the game but, other than that, we’re in good shape.”

Timely boost for Man United

Cunha missed the previous encounter due to a sore hip flexor and his availability was under wraps until yesterday when he took part in group training.

He has started every Premier League game this season and will be eager to maintain that perfect record with just four games remaining.

Lisandro Martinez and Matthijs de Ligt are the only two players unavailable for this crucial encounter.

De Ligt has still not recovered from his back injury and Martinez is out due to suspension.

However, the Argentine defender is expected to be available again for selection in the next match.
