Tottenham youngster Alfie Devine is continuing to go from strength to strength on loan at Preston North End, with the attacking midfielder sending a clear message to his parent club with his performances.
This season was billed as a make-or-break one for Devine’s future at Tottenham, which was understandable, given that the 21-year-old had failed to live up to expectations in his last couple of loan spells.
However, the attacking midfielder has made the number 10 role at Preston his own and has showcased just why he is rated so highly by many at Hotspur Way.
Devine has already been scouted by the likes of Celtic ahead of the summer, and the youngster’s stock continues to rise in light of his form in the Championship.

Devine was once again the standout performer for Preston in their 2-1 defeat at Birmingham last Wednesday night and their 3-2 win over Sheffield United last weekend.
The 21-year-old set up his side’s only goal against Blues before creating another two goals in the win over the Blades.
That means that Devine now has eight goals and eight assists this season across 47 matches across all competitions this term.
The Tottenham decision-makers will certainly be taking note of the attacking midfielder’s fine form ahead of his return to North London in the summer.
Devine hailed for his maturity at Preston
The Spurs youngster was given a rating of 8.5 for his display against the Blades on Saturday by Lancashire Post, with the outlet also praising the midfielder for his maturity and discipline.
They wrote about Devine’s latest performance: “A mature, disciplined display alongside Thompson. Kept it simple on the ball and did the ugly stuff off it. Two assists.”
Preston have a £4.5m option to buy the Tottenham youngster permanently this summer, but it has been suggested that they do not have the financial means to activate the clause.
