Hot Take: Amazon’s Summer Beauty Event Is Giving Sephora Serious Competition with Cult Faves Up to 30% Off

As a beauty writer, you would think that I would never miss out on a Sephora sale. I mean, how could I? I spent most of my days thinking and writing about shopping. Yet, somehow, I missed out earlier this month and have been kicking myself ever since. And if you find yourself in this category of not shopping, one of the best beauty deals of the season, I have some pretty good news for us: Amazon’s having its own beauty sale right now, and dare I say, it might be better than Sephora’s.
Just in case you haven’t heard yet, Amazon’s Summer Beauty Event is taking place this week and all of next week, leading into Mother’s Day weekend. During the sale, you can find countless brands across all sorts of categories — from viral, trendy, and drugstore to luxury, prestige, and even K-beauty — all marked down to incredibly low prices. I’m talking discounts as steep as 50%, which is why it may be slightly better than Sephora’s sale.
Like the Amazon Summer Beauty Event, Sephora’s Savings Event is usually two weeks long, but it’s based on tier status. So if you’re not a VIB, you don’t have access to shop the entire two weeks, and you’re not getting the maximum discount of 20% off. At Amazon, there’s no status, just straight discounts, with most of them higher than Sephora. So while you might not find everything the beauty store has to offer on Amazon, I’m sure you can still walk away with a substantial haul of beauty goodies.
