A Prayer For Reclaiming Everything You Gave Away To The Wrong People

Restore me fully, God. I want back everything that was always meant to be mine. 

God, I gave too much to people who weren’t able to hold it. My time, my energy, my love, my trust — and I walked away emptier than I should have ever allowed myself to become. I’m here to ask you to restore what was lost.

Give me back my confidence that was chipped away by people who didn’t celebrate me. Give me back my voice that went quiet in rooms where it was never welcomed. Give me back the dreams | let go of because someone made me feel like they were too big, too much, too unlikely for someone like me. What was taken, and what I gave away without realizing the cost, I am asking you to return it.

Heal the parts of me that learned to over-give as a way of earning love. Break the patterns that kept leading me back to the same kind of people, the same disappointments, the same empty hands. Teach me to steward myself the way you intended — with boundaries, with discernment, with the understanding that I am not endlessly available to everyone who reaches for me.
