Sky extend Kamilla Cardoso, Rickea Jackson, and Jacy Sheldon
The Sky picked up fourth-year options for Kamilla Cardoso, Rickea Jackson, and Jacy Sheldon, according to the WNBA transactions page. All three players are entering their third year of their rookie contracts, which means the Sky had until May 15 to extend them a fourth year on team-friendly terms.
The move was expected, as this group now comprises the Sky’s young core. The Sky drafted Cardoso No. 3 in the 2024 draft and then traded for Jackson and Sheldon this offseason. They gave up shooting guard Ariel Atkins to get Jackson from the Sparks, and their own 2028 first-round pick to get Sheldon from the Mystics.
Cardoso, Jackson, and Sheldon were the No. 3, No. 4 and No. 5 picks in the 2024 draft, respectively.
The Sky also have the following players signed through the 2027 season: Skylar Diggins, Courtney Vandersloot, Azurá Stevens, Elizabeth Williams, and Gabriela Jaquez.
Should Hailey Van Lith, Maddy Westbeld, or any of the Sky's second or third-round draft picks make the final roster, they will also be on that list.
