FBPR Facebook page to stream WBSC Women's Baseball World Cup Qualifying Series between Canada and Puerto Rico

The Puerto Rico Baseball Federation (FBPR) announced in a press conference that the FBPR Facebook page will stream the games of the best-of-five series between World No. 3 Canada and No. 9 Puerto Rico, which will qualify the winner for the WBSC Women's Baseball World Cup Group Stage 2026. The series will open on Wednesday, April 29, at 13:00 (local time) at the Roberto Clemente Walker Stadium in Carolina. The games will be free to access.

"I want to emphasise the importance of this event for the Puerto Rico Baseball Community," commented FBPR President José Daniel Quiles, "it's the first time our women's national team competes internationally on home soil. The Women's Baseball World Cup Group Stage 2026

The winner will join No. 2 USA, No. 6 Mexico, No. 8 Hong Kong-China, No. 10 Australia and No. 12 Korea in Group Rockford (Illinois, USA) from July 22 to 27.

Tainan (TPE) will host the other group from August 23 to 27. Five of the six participants have qualified: No. 1 Japan, No. 5 Venezuela, No. 6 Chinese Taipei, No. 7 Cuba, and No. 28 Great Britain. The WBSC will award a Wild Card to the sixth team.

Finals 2027

The top three finishers from each group will advance to the Finals, which Rockford will host from July 19 to 25, 2027.
