Registrations open today for Swim Safe Europe Conference 2026 as Information Bulletin is published
European Aquatics has published the official Information Bulletin for the Swim Safe Europe Conference 2026, with registrations opening today, 29 April.
The conference will take place on 7–8 August 2026 in Paris, France, at the Courtyard by Marriott Paris Saint Denis, in a hybrid format combining in-person and online participation.
The newly released bulletin provides comprehensive information for participants, including event details, registration procedures, accommodation options, programme highlights and the call for abstracts.
As part of European Aquatics’ Aquatics Social Responsibility programme, the Swim Safe Europe Conference serves as a key platform to advance Learn to Swim initiatives and strengthen drowning prevention efforts across the continent. The event will bring together national federations, academics, practitioners and stakeholders to exchange knowledge, share best practices and build partnerships.
Over two days, the conference will address critical topics such as capacity building, innovation in aquatic education, retention of young people in sport, and strategies to improve water safety. The programme will feature keynote sessions, expert panels, scientific discussions and practical workshops, alongside dedicated networking opportunities.
A call for abstracts is also now open, inviting contributions from researchers and practitioners on a wide range of topics including school swimming, aquatic literacy, drowning prevention and the use of technology in teaching.
Participation is open to all interested stakeholders, with registration mandatory via the European Aquatics Academy platform. The deadline for registration is 30 July 2026.
The Swim Safe Europe Conference 2026 will take place alongside the European Aquatics Championships Paris 2026, further reinforcing the connection between sporting excellence and aquatic safety.
Participants are encouraged to consult the full Information Bulletin for detailed guidance and to register early here to secure their place.
