Cause of Shane's Loaded Mac Bar fire revealed

Fire officials have determined that a fire at Shane's Loaded Mac Bar in Lafayette, LA, was caused by spontaneous heating. The fire started after kitchen towels soiled with cooking oils or grease were laundered, dried, and placed in a large plastic trash bag in the kitchen. Although rare, spontaneous heating can occur when such towels are placed in a confined package. The fire was ruled an accident.
