31yo Man Utd star equals Cristiano Ronaldo record after what he did vs Brentford

Manchester United star Bruno Fernandes has matched yet another remarkable record following his superb display against Brentford.

According to OptaJoe, Fernandes now has 140 Premier League goal involvements for Man United, the same tally as club legend Cristiano Ronaldo.

Ronaldo racked up 103 goals and 37 assists in 236 appearances for the Red Devils.

Fernandes has matched that incredible total in just 226 games, recording 70 goals and 70 assists.

This is an extraordinary statistic and should be enough to silence those who find flaws in Fernandes.

The 31-year-old has been the standout signing for the Red Devils over the last decade.

He has consistently carried the burden of the team ever since arriving from Sporting CP in January 2020.

The Portuguese playmaker has registered 19 assists and eight goals in the Premier League this season.

He is now just two assists away from surpassing the all-time Premier League record of 20 assists in a single season.

There is little doubt that Fernandes deserves to be named Player of the Year.
