Trump Hosts State Dinner for the British Royals; Melania Trump & Queen Camilla Both Wear Pink Gowns
King Charles and Queen Camilla stepped out for a state dinner hosted by the Trumps.
During day two of the British royals’ visit to the U.S., the king and queen joined President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump at the White House on Tuesday night (April 28) in Washington, D.C.
Charles and Camilla posed for photos with the Trumps while standing outside of the White House.
Camilla wore a gown by Fiona Clare along with an amethyst and diamond necklace from the royal family’s jewelry collection. The necklace was originally gifted to Queen Victoria, who later passed it down to Queen Mary. This is Camilla‘s first time wearing it in public. She opted not to wear a tiara, which is notable as Queen Elizabeth did wear one during her final state visit to the U.S. in 2007.
Melania is wearing a pink gown by Christian Dior Haute Couture with Dior gloves.
Earlier in the day, there was a red coat military display on the grounds of the White House in honor of the British royals.
