‘ARC Raiders’ Launching ‘Riven Tides’ Update on April 28
Embark Studios has announced the latest update to its third-person extraction shooter ARC Raiders. Dubbed Riven Tides, the update launches on April 28 and will be available to all players free of charge. A brand-new trailer spotlights the addition of a new map, which will take Raiders to an abandoned coastal region of the Rust Belt.
A new ARC enemy is also being added in the form of the Turbine. The Turbine is an aerial unit that drifts across the sky until disturbed, causing it to unleash its defensive capabilities, promising a difficult fight. Other features in the Riven Tides add-on include:
- New items: A Crash Mat and Powered Descender are being added to help Raiders survive falls of considerable height.
- New map condition: Unique to the Riven Tides map, Beachcombing allows Raiders to utilize a metal detector to search for loot buried beneath the surface.
- A new project: Avian Alarm tasks Raiders with catching birds along the coast to build a makeshift security system, with rewards including a new emote and 250 Raider Tokens.
- Additional cosmetics: Two new sets—the Solare and Rachetta—will be available on April 28, while three more sets (Corsaro, Castaway, and Sandveil) will be added throughout the month of May.
- A new event: Convert XP into Merits as part of the Last Resort event, which includes collecting Ship Models to earn new outfits, backpacks, Raider Tokens, and more.
ARC Raiders is available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
