Heatwave Fitness Festival wraps third annual edition

The third annual Heatwave Fitness Festival returned to the Molos seafront over April 25-26, 2026, delivering two days of high-energy workouts, music and community spirit that brought the island’s fitness scene to life. With doors opening at 9am each day, attendees showed up in full force and left, quite simply, over the moon.

This year marked a record-breaking milestone, drawing over 1,500 attendees, over double last year’s turnout, establishing Heatwave as one of the region’s fastest-growing fitness events. With clear skies, sunshine all weekend and an unbeatable atmosphere, the conditions couldn’t have aligned better.

Set against the backdrop of Limassol’s coastline, this year’s edition elevated the experience on every level. From world-class training sessions to standout entertainment moments, Heatwave 2026 proved why it has become a cornerstone event in Cyprus’ fitness calendar.

A global stage, right at home

This year’s international lineup brought unmatched energy and expertise, reinforcing Heatwave’s growing global presence.

Julius Burphy, the Manchester-based founder of Stepper-Ton, delivered explosive sessions that lived up to his worldwide reputation, while London’s Lottie Alice Lamb inspired with her hybrid training approach and powerful story. Thessaloniki’s Lola Karavasilli had the entire deck moving with her signature cycling sessions, bringing her viral energy to the Limassol crowd.

Together, these international instructors transformed the festival into a global fitness experience — without losing its local soul.

The local community at its core

Alongside the international names, Cyprus’ top gyms and trainers took centre stage. Studios including FUELHOUSE, Crossfit Limassol, Machalekkides and Flow Lab Pilates delivered a diverse schedule of workouts, while leading trainers brought their own signature energy to each session.

From strength and conditioning to pilates, functional training and recovery, the programme reflected the strength and diversity of the local fitness scene — and the community showed up for it.

Moments that defined the weekend

This year’s festival wasn’t short on standout moments. The now-iconic hanging challenge by Demetriou Fitness drew crowds and competition, quickly becoming one of the weekend’s most talked-about highlights.

The festival grounds were also brought to life by an elevated vendor experience, with standout activations across the board. The DIVINITY booth drew constant crowds with its basketball challenge, while their limited-edition Heatwave t-shirts are already close to selling out, available online here

Music, food and the full experience

Non-stop DJ sets from Andrez P, MG, Mr. Cause, Mr. MK, and STS Michael kept the energy high across both days, soundtracking every moment from sunrise sessions to the final cooldown.

For a second consecutive year, Leggo CY returned this time delivering a surprise Super Bowl halftime show-inspired takeover that electrified the crowd and brought a whole new dimension to the festival. The performance featured a standout set by TEAM Hip Hop Dance Collective, adding a powerful visual element to the show and elevating the atmosphere even further. Blending performance, music and movement, the moment became an instant highlight, blurring the line between workout and spectacle.

Off the training deck, the expanded food market added another layer to the experience. With incredible vendors throughout the weekend, attendees were able to refuel and recharge without missing a beat. GoodEarth returned with a limited-edition Heatwave wrap, while fuelhouse’s ReFuel Bar collaborated with Papaphilipou Ice Cream on a standout peanut butter shake that blended performance with indulgence.

Community, culture and connection

At its heart, Heatwave remains about bringing people together. This year’s charity run in support of Blue Heart Foundation united participants of all levels, alongside some of Cyprus’ leading run clubs including Team Runnins, The Nicosia Run Club, The PM Run Club, Sea Legs Runners, Hygeneration, Who’s Chasing You and Marbo Run Club.

Between workouts, music, and shared experiences, the festival once again proved that it’s more than fitness — it’s a community.

Looking ahead

With its biggest turnout to date and a programme that pushed boundaries, Heatwave 2026 has firmly anchored its position as a leading fitness festival in the region and a growing international platform.

As the sun set on Molos this weekend, one thing was clear: Heatwave isn’t just an organisation building an event, it’s a bunch of cool creative “kids” building a global community.
