Seton Hall lands Brazilian prospect who played in G League
By ADAM ZAGORIA
Nathan Mariano, a 6-foot-9 Brazilian forward who spent last season in the NBA G League, has committed to Seton Hall, per his agents Jaren Sina and Daniel Nóbrega of Flash Forward Basketball.
A top Brazilian prospect, he averaged 2.4 ppg and 2.5 rpg in 11 games last in the G League with the Valley Suns, the Phoenix Suns affiliate.
He played international basketball since the 2020-21 season.
He had 27 and 10 for Brazil vs Team Canada in the Global Jam Games against some really good college players, including current Florida guard Xavian Lee.
He turns 23 in September.
Seton Hall is turning over virtually its entire roster for the second straight season and coach Shaheen Holloway is busy rebuilding his roster again.
The Pirates also added Texas transfer guard Simeon Wilcher, Radford transfer guard Del Jones and Xavier transfer guard Roddie Anderson, as well as four-star high school guard Darien Moore.
