Netflix Removing Five Iconic Tom Cruise Movies in May
As it does every month, Netflix will make some changes to its streaming library beginning May 1. Throughout May, dozens of titles will be coming and going from the platform.
Unfortunately for Tom Cruise fans, the first five films from the actor's legendary Mission: Impossible series will be leaving Netflix May 1. In total, the subscription service will drop more than 40 movies when the calendar turns over this Friday.

- Mission: Impossible 2 (2000)
- Mission: Impossible III (2006)
- Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol (2011)
- Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation (2015)
Mission: Impossible fans will still be able to access 2018's Fallout and 2023's Dead Reckoning Part One on Netflix after May 1.

Pluto TV is about to add all of them for free
On May 1, Pluto TV will welcome the first five MI movies, along with Cruise's Top Gun: Maverick (2022), to the platform for free.
In total, Cruise, 63, starred as protagonist Ethan Hunt in all eight Mission: Impossibles, including 2025’s The Final Reckoning, which Cruise confirmed will be the franchise's last project.
“It’s the final! It’s not called ‘final’ for nothing,” Cruise told The Hollywood Reporter at the movie's red carpet premiere.
“It went beyond our expectations,” the three-time Golden Globe winner added. “It’s been a real privilege and a pleasure. I look forward to making a bunch of other kinds of movies with you. I can’t wait.”

According to Rotten Tomatoes, 2018's Mission: Impossible - Fallout is the highest-rated movie in the series, with a 98% approval mark. Dead Reckoning comes in second at 96%.
Interestingly, the original Mission: Impossible only has a 66% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes, while Mission: Impossible II comes in last at 58%.
