Erika Kirk is getting attention after being rushed out of the White House Correspondents’ Dinner.
The 37-year-old widow of Charlie Kirk is going viral from a video of her being quickly rushed out of the dinner following a gunman opening fire outside of the White House ballroom on Saturday (April 25) in Washington, D.C.

“I just want to go home. I just want to go home,” the Turning Point USA CEO could be heard crying as she exited from the Washington Hilton, just over half a year since her husband was fatally shot during a speaking engagement back in September.
Footage of her being tearfully escorted from the premises quickly circulated on social media.
President Donald Trump is looking to reschedule the 2026 White House Correspondents’ Dinner following the shooting.
The 79-year-old President of the United States was taken off stage by Secret Service, later relocated from a secure location in the hotel back to the White House down the street.
In a follow up post on his Truth Social account after making an initial statement, the President said the event was officially canceled after he wanted it to resume, but is looking to reschedule in the next few weeks.
