Charleston transfer Christian Reeves commits to Kansas
By JAMES MADDEN
Kansas has landed another transfer commitment in Charleston transfer Christian Reeves, per reports.
Reeves, a 7-foot-2 center from Charlotte, averaged 11.1 points and 7.8 rebounds per game for the Cougars this season.
He’ll enter the Jayhawks’ program in what will be his fifth season at the collegiate level, which includes two seasons at Duke and a season at Clemson, in addition to last season at Charleston.
Reeves will help fill the void left by Flory Bidunga, who transferred to Louisville earlier this month, with returning center Paul Mbiya also likely serving as his replacement.
Reeves is Kansas’s third recruit in this year’s transfer portal, joining Toledo transfer Leroy Blyden Jr. and Utah transfer Keanu Dawes.
In addition to Kansas’ three transfer portal additions, the Jayhawks have also landed high-schoolers like five-star Tay Kinney and four-stars Davion Adkins, Trent Perry and Luke Barnett.
