LA28 Softball "first drop" tickets sold out as overall sales top four million

Women's Softball is proving to be one of the hottest tickets at the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games (LA28) after the first phase of sales was completed, with all available inventory sold out that was part of the Los Angeles and Oklahoma City Locals Presale and Drop 1.

With a capacity of 13,000 spectators and strong ticket demand, Softball Park in Oklahoma City promises to be one of the LA28 Olympic venues with the best atmospheres come Games time.

Meanwhile, Men's Baseball tickets at the 56,000 capacity Dodger Stadium also proved popular with the "Drop 1" gold medal game tickets also sold out.

More than four million tickets overall have been allocated by the LA28 Olympic Games organisers during the first phase of sales, reflecting strong, early interest in the Games more than two years before they begin. The first ticket release reached fans in 85 countries and across all 50 U.S. states and territories.

Registration is now open for the next LA28 ticket draw, with the second phase of sales set to begin in August 2026. This phase will include additional ticket inventory across all Olympic sports, including baseball and softball, at a range of price points.

Fans can register until 22 July for a chance to receive a designated time slot to purchase tickets. Those selected will be notified ahead of the August release window.

Each purchaser will be able to buy up to 12 tickets for Olympic events, in line with the allocation system applied across all ticket phases.

Fans who already registered for the LA & OKC Locals Presale and Drop 1 and who were not randomly selected or who have not purchased their maximum Olympics ticket allowance will automatically be entered into the LA28 Olympic Ticket Draw for Drop 2 and any future drops, and do not need to re-register.*
