SATURDAY’S draw at Morton saw head coach Sean Crighton’s staff and squad confirm our William Hill Championship status for 2026/27 – securing a fifth consecutive season at this level of Scottish football for the Spiders.
Following this success, and ahead of preparations for the new season, the club has moved to strengthen our off-field operational structure with the appointment of a new general manager at the club.
Queen’s Park FC is delighted to announce David Stevenson will assume this new role and begin work later this summer.
David will oversee the club as a whole, while providing expertise and support to the administrative work of the football department – splitting his time between our Lochinch Training Centre, and The city Stadium.
Previously David worked as head of academy recruitment and scouting at the Spiders and has a wide knowledge of the game, having held similar positions with Rangers FC and the Scottish FA.
He has also worked frequently in academia, most recently as a lecturer in Sports Management at the University of Stirling.
David said: “I’m looking forward to my new role with Queen’s Park FC – a club I know well – when I take up the position in the summer.
“The club has had a successful season in securing a fifth season in the William Hill Championship with two games to spare and, of course, reaching next week’s Scottish Youth Cup Final.
“I look forward to expanding on the success and am eager to help the club move forward next season.”
Interim chairman Alistair Marr added: “We’d like to welcome David to the club staff and we are sure he will be an asset to the club when he takes up his role in July.
“Before then he will be on hand to lend support to the club and football department when he can, in preparation for season 2026/27.”
