The only three people Trump is listening to are making matters worse: MS NOW
MS NOW's "Morning Joe" panel attributed President Donald Trump's worsening Iran crisis to his reliance on only three advisers: Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and Sen. Lindsey Graham.
Co-host Joe Scarborough argued Trump ignored Pentagon experts and historical military strategy knowledge, noting the Strait of Hormuz blockade was a predictable consequence since 1979. Scarborough stated military leaders warned Trump the situation was more complicated than presented, but he proceeded regardless.
Co-host Jonathan Lemire noted Joint Chiefs Chairman Dan Caine predicted the outcome but offered no advocacy, while Vice President JD Vance expressed reservations but deferred to Trump's decision. Lemire characterized the war as rushed and shortsighted, with planners expecting resolution within weeks rather than the current quagmire.
The blocked Strait of Hormuz continues to cost Trump MAGA support and is prompting GOP lawmakers to seek ways to constrain his authority.
