One Controversial 'Euphoria' Star Is Calling Out the ‘Weird’ OnlyFans Storylines on Season 3
In Euphoria season three, it has been nothing but controversy after controversy. One of the biggest controversies being nearly every female lead does some sort of sex work, like Maddy (Alexa Demie) being an OnlyFans model manager, Jules (Hunter Schafer) being a “sugar baby,” Rue (Zendaya) working at a sketchy, exploitative strip club, and of course, Cassie (Sydney Sweeney) turning to OnlyFans to pay for her wedding to Nate Jacobs (Jacob Elordi). Most of the stars have kept mum about the controversy, one is speaking out about it; and fans are rejoicing.
Chloe Cherry rejoined season three as a lead. She plays Faye, who first joined in season two. (Faye is a drug addict and drug smuggler alongside Rue.)

Recently, Cherry spoke with Refinery29 about the incessant OnlyFans storylines.
She said, “For me, it just feels crazy as f**k to see somebody living like Cassie turn to sex work. Like… Holy s**t, that’s where we’re at in society?!”
“OnlyFans and sex work has become more normalized, but it’s literally only because of capitalism and the economy getting worse,” she added. “It has nothing to do with empowerment or power. The economy is horrible, that’s why people are turning to it. I really think that OnlyFans is a crazy, weird phenomenon of the 2020s I will look back on and be very confused by.”
Fans instantly praised her for this, saying, “I would argue she’s the perfect messenger for this perspective because it was her reality” and “She’s literally the perfect person to be talking about this topic ummm.”
And this isn’t the first time she’s called out the show. Cherry requested her nude scenes be toned down (as well as Sweeney and Minka Kelly). It was reported that after her character watches someone get shot, she was supposed to be covered in blood — while fully nude. Her co-star Tyler Chase, stepped up to say to Levinson, “‘That’s a lot,'” according to Cherry in a Daily Beast interview.
Now, why are fans saying she’s the perfect speaker for this, and why is she rather controversial? Well, because before her acting debut on Euphoria in 2022, she was a porn actress and OnlyFans model.
Back in 2015, almost as soon as she turned 18 years old, she became a pornographic actress signed with Hussie Models. She ended up starring in over 200 pornographic films and later went on OnlyFans to sell pornographic content in 2020, per The Daily Beast.
