Dirty John: Both Seasons Leaving Netflix on May 31 – What You Need to Know
Next month, several television series will be leaving Netflix in the United States, including both seasons of Dirty John, according to What's on Netflix.
Created by Alexandra Cunningham, Dirty John was based on the 2017 podcast of the same name, which tells the story of nurse John Michael Meehan, a con artist and serial abuser. The program aired for two seasons, first on Bravo and then on USA Network, from 2018-2020.
"Originally airing on Bravo and the USA Network, this true-crime anthology series was a massive hit when it first premiered," writes What's on Netflix's Kasey Moore. "The first season stars Connie Britton and Eric Bana, adapting the hit podcast about a charismatic con man who infiltrates a wealthy family. The second season pivots to “The Betty Broderick Story,” starring Amanda Peet and Christian Slater in a gripping retelling of the infamous divorce and double murder."
When is 'Dirty John' leaving Netflix?
Both seasons and all 16 episodes will exit the platform on May 31, along with the Bryan Cranston thriller Your Honor.
Dirty John's departure comes five years after Netflix officially added the show's second season to its U.S. programming.
