Darrell Sheets’ Family: His Wife & Girlfriend History
Darrell Sheets, who starred on the storage locker reality show Storage Wars on A&E, was known as the Gambler.
Sheets, who starred on Storage Wars from 2010 until 2023, died tragically. What was his cause of death? According to Page Six, the Lake Havasu Police Department says that he "died from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head" at the age of 67. "We are aware of...cyberbullying accusations and that is a part of the active investigation," police told Page Six.
Sheets dealt with serious health issues throughout the years. According to People, seven years ago, he suffered a heart attack.
He was mourned by fans and also a rival on Storage Wars, Brandi Passante, who wrote on Instagram, "I’m at a loss for words! I’ve known Darrel Sheets for many years. I’m just so very sorry, to hear the circumstances of his passing. My heart hurts for Brandon, Zoe, and Kimber."
She added: "I unfortunately lost a parent and a brother to similar situations. I would like to say to everyone, if you are struggling, if you feel hopeless or like no one cares. I assure you they do!! You are not alone. Please reach out for help. You are not taking your pain away, you are transferring it to someone else. The grief from suicide is endless. According to US Weekly, Sheets "was survived by his son and Storage Wars costar, Brandon 'The Sidebet' Sheets, and daughter Tiffany Shane Sheets. He was previously married to Kimber Wuerfel prior to their 2016 divorce." Sheets once had a fiancée. "He credited his then‑fiancée, Romney Snyder, for supporting him through the ordeal" with his heart issues years ago, Newsweek reported.
He was most recently running an antique and collectibles store in Havasu.
His son Brandon "often followed along to assist his father and learn the tricks of the trade" on the reality show, according to Nicki Swift.com.
However, despite the divorce report, Sheets frequently posted photos showing him with Kimber through 2024 on social media, even referring to her as his "lover" in a post and expressing his love for her. He also called her his "girl" in those posts, so their relationship clearly lasted into recent years.
In 2021, Sheets posted photos showing him kissing Kimber and wrote, "Thank you Kimber for a beautiful birthday surprise , beyond expectations I love you, and thanks to all of you that wished me a happy birthday today don’t forget it is @paytheladylaura birthday today to @callkimber."
Kimber Wuerfel works as a realtor, according to her Instagram page.
