The Goat’s Surf Forecast
Surf forecast issued Thursday 23 April 2026: Seven day outlook for Sydney
¡Ay caramba! … said TG as he felt the full force of the wind on his face.
¿Qué pasa?
And he doesn’t even speak Spanish!
Think he overheard some South American backpackers departing for warmer climes lament :
These aren’t Buenos Aires! … In fact they’re downright Chile.. (ho ho).
Rugged up council lifeguards had Warning signs up.. Beach Closed. Dangerous Surf. Submerged Rocks… They could have added: Bloody Cold Wind.
Waves waves everywhere, but not a drop to be seen. 2.46 m, 10.83 second swell from South East. Wave height and period have been consistent for the past 5 days along with the cold wind, while the direction has changed from dead South to South East over the week. Out of the wind the sun is warm and pleasant.
The Surf Outlook for the coming week is for a bit more variety ~~~~~~~
Friday: slowly easing back in the 1-2 metre range South East, with sets
Saturday: around 1-1+ metres East
Sunday: Around 1ish metres or so East
Monday: ditto at places open the dead South
Tuesday: ditto East
Wednesday: ditto dead South
Thursday: might start to come up a little 1-1+ metres dead South spots.
Don and Guy can expect some more waves further up the coast.
¡Have Fun!
