'What does he have to do?' Billy Graham's granddaughter tees off on Trump's Christian fans
President Donald Trump received a tongue-lashing from the late Reverend Billy Graham's granddaughter on CNN on Wednesday over an AI-generated image the president posted of himself.
Last week, Trump posted, and then deleted, an image of himself appearing as Jesus Christ healing a sick man in bed. The image showed Trump dressed in a white robe with a red shawl, a common Christian symbol, and also included images of the Statue of Liberty and soldiers. Trump claimed the image made him look like a doctor.
Several Evangelical leaders came to Trump's defense after he deleted the photo.
Jerushah Duford, Graham's granddaughter, told CNN's Erin Burnett on "Erin Burnett OutFront" that she was "offended" by the church's response to Trump's post.
"I was offended by the blind loyalty of the church," she said. "It continues to erode any trust left that people have in the church, in looking to it as a moral standard. Erin, what does Trump have to do to get Christians to call out what he's actually doing? Lately, we've seen some conservative Republicans calling out some things ... but I don't understand what he has to do."
