UAB transfer Evan Chatman commits to Baylor
By JAMES MADDEN
Baylor has landed a commitment from UAB transfer forward Evan Chatman, On3 first reported on Wednesday,
A 6-foot-8 forward from Texas, Chatman averaged 8.8 points and 8.8 rebounds per game for the Blazers this season, appearing in 32 games for the team.
Headed into his senior year, this season was Chatman’s only one at UAB, with the elite rebounder spending the two years prior at McLennan CC at the JUCO level.
Baylor is coming off a season in which it missed its first NCAA Tournament since 2018, so Chatman will join Scott Drew’s squad looking to bolster its front court physicality,
Joining Chatman to round out Baylor’s current recruiting class is top-30 recruit Elijah Williams, Yale transfer Isaac Celiscar, Penn State transfer Kayden Mingo and Liberty transfer Brett Decker Jr.
