New England Racing Fuel Continues to Power Stafford Contingency Program
(Stafford Springs, CT)—New England Racing Fuel with John Holland and Mike Joy will once again be a Stafford Speedway contingency program partner for the 2026 season. New England Racing Fuel will reward the top-3 finishers from each of Stafford’s five weekly divisions plus the highest finishing rookie driver in each division with a fuel certificate. New England Racing Fuel was the first company to join the Stafford Speedway contingency program when it was inaugurated for the 1999 season, and they have been a part of the program every year since. The 2026 season will mark New England Racing Fuel’s 28th consecutive season in the program that has seen them reward Stafford competitors with nearly $200,000 in free gasoline.
“Wow, it’s hard to believe we’re coming up on 30 years with the Stafford contingency program,” said John Holland of New England Racing Fuel. “We always like being able to give something back to the competitors who support us and the Stafford contingency program has been a great way for us to support everyone rather than focusing on one division. We get great feedback from the drivers and we’re looking forward to another season of exciting racing action at Stafford.”
When New England Racing Fuel first joined the Stafford Speedway contingency program, they supported 3 divisions, the SK Modifieds®, ProStocks, and Late Models. As the weekly lineup of divisions at Stafford has grown and evolved over the years, New England Racing Fuel has grown and evolved right along with the contingency program and there will be another evolution to the program for the 2026 season.
For years New England Racing Fuel supplied the top-3 finishers and top finishing rookie from each division with a $25 gas certificate, but that will change slightly in 2026. With Stafford’s SK Light, Limited Late Model, and Street Stock divisions changing from Sunoco 260 GTX to the new Sunoco EZ94 blend, those three divisions will all receive certificates that are good for 3 gallons of Sunoco EZ 94. SK Modified® and Late Model teams will continue to utilize Sunoco Supreme and those teams will each receive a certificate good for 2 gallons of Sunoco Supreme that can be redeemed with Don Stone at the Sunoco fuel truck in the Stafford paddock area.
“Sunoco has developed the EZ 94 fuel specifically for crate engines and it’s a high quality fuel that in the long run will save drivers money compared with what they were spending on Sunoco 260 GTX,” said Holland.
Sunoco is the Official Fuel of NASCAR and Stafford Speedway. Sunoco Supreme and Sunoco EZ 94 can be purchased at the Sunoco Fuel truck found in Stafford’s paddock area every Friday night. New England Race Fuels is the largest supplier of racing gasoline in New England and they are located at 271 Spielman Highway in Burlington, CT. The first New England Racing Fuel contingencies of the 2026 season will be paid out as part of the 54th Annual NAPA Spring Sizzler®, set for April 25-26. The NAPA Spring Sizzler® kicks off on Saturday, April 25, with feature events for the Late Model, Limited Late Model, Street Stock, and Granite State ProStock divisions, along with SK Light qualifying duel races that will set the field for an extra-distance 30-lap feature event on Sunday, April 26.
