Luke Bryan, Jason Aldean to Headline First Concert at Sanford Stadium in Nearly 15 Years
One of the nation’s iconic college football venues is hosting its first concert in almost 15 years with star-studded country music headliners.
Sanford Stadium, the home of the University of Georgia football program, has not held a concert on its field since 2013. The team did have a halftime performance featuring Ludacris at its G-Day Spring game in 2016, but this will be the first time in 13 years that an actual full concert is held at the stadium.
While the Georgia Bulldogs have been a powerhouse in college football under head coach Kirby Smart, the stadium itself has been a nightmare for other teams and fan bases. Not for conditions or comfort, but because opposing teams simply don’t win there. Georgia is 56-2 at home since 2017. Before losing their first game in Athens since 2019 last season, UGA had broken the all-time SEC record with 33 consecutive home wins.

Now, fans who don’t root for the Bulldogs will be able to leave the stadium with a smile on their face.
Saturday, April 25, Sanford Stadium will host “Live Between the Hedges,” a common term used to refer to Georgia’s field, which is famously surrounded by hedges.
The concert will be headlined by country music stars Luke Bryan and Jason Aldean. Zach Top and Lauren Alaina will also perform. Bryan and Aldean were the last to perform at Sanford in 2013.
Excitement for the stadium’s first concert in over a decade has been intense since the event was first announced in September of last year on the one-year anniversary of Luke Bryan’s Mind of a Country Boy album release.
Jason Aldean’s newest album Songs About Us releases this Friday, one night before the concert.
Tickets are currently starting at $128 each on Ticketmaster.
It’s been a long time coming for Athens locals, but this Saturday the party finally returns to Sanford Stadium.
