Some began commenting about his current wife
Patton got re-married to a woman named Meredith Salenger. He announced their engagement in July of 2017, and married in November of that year.
In a response to his photo tribute to his late wife, one Threads user commented, “Your wife seems to be the most understanding spouse. I love that for all of you.”
Patton saw that message and wrote, “Meredith elevates empathy and has guided me and Alice back into the world. This is how she responded to one of my Instagram comments. I found love twice, and I’m thankful every day.”
He included a screen grab of Meredith‘s Instagram comment. She responded to someone who wrote, “Always a tough message for a current spouse / partner to read @meredithsalenger ????.”
Meredith responded, “Not tough at all. My heart breaks that the two people I love the most lost the person they loved the most. That they ever endured that sadness that will never go away. My heart aches for them both.”
