Katie Holmes Hints A Romance With 'Dawson's Creek' Co-Star Joshua Jackson
Katie Holmes might be ready to make all our late 90s dreams come true with a romance with Joshua Jackson.
Holmes and Jackson, 47, reunited decades after co-starring in Dawson’s Creek for an upcoming romance film, Happy Hours, which Holmes wrote, directed and stars in opposite Jackson. Of course, the reunion has fans wondering if the pair, who dated off-screen during Dawson’s Creek’s run, could be destined to be together — and it seems Holmes might be wondering the same thing.

When the actress posted an Instagram shot of the two of them together promoting the film, a fan commented: “They should be a couple.” That comment earned a “like” from Holmes.
Holmes and Jackson also received a show of support from James Van Der Beek’s wife, Kimberly, who wrote, “Love this.”
“We are so thrilled to be a part of the Tribeca Film Festival this June with our film Happy Hours,” wrote Holmes in the post’s caption. “So many beautiful people worked on this project. And working with Josh again was a dream.”
Happy Hours, which will premiere on June 6, is a drama set in New York City that sees two former lovers reuniting years after their relationship ended with no closure. Holmes and Jackson co-star with Mary-Louise Parker, Joe Tippett and Constance Wu.
“Katie wrote this beautiful story for the two of us,” Jackson said of the project on the Today show in March. “There are these people in your life — she’s a lifelong friend now — and for us to be able to go back and do this again, and, honestly, for her to be able to create that space for us was kind of magical.”

Holmes and Jackson played onscreen friends-to-lovers, Joey Potter and Pacey Witter, in Dawson’s Creek, and even had an off-screen romance between 1998 and 1999. “I fell in love, I had my first love, and it was something so incredible and indescribable that I will treasure it always,” Holmes told Rolling Stone when asked about Jackson in 1998.
Holmes went on to marry actor Tom Cruise in 2006, after welcoming daughter Suri a year earlier. They split in 2012. Jackson was married to actress Jodie Turner-Smith from 2018 until 2023. They share a 6-year-old daughter, Juno.
