'Storage Wars' Star Darrell Sheets Dead at 67: What We Know
There's some sad news coming out of Lake Havasu, Arizona, where officials reportedly say Storage Wars star Darrell Sheets has died.
The Cause of Death
As first reported by TMZ, Sheets died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Authorities told the outlet that Sheets shot himself in the head.
TMZ reports that officers responded to a report of a deceased individual at his house at around 2 a.m. on Wednesday. Sheets was pronounced dead at the scene.
The shocking death news comes more than seven years after Sheets landed in the hospital following a heart attack.
A Beloved Cast Member
Sheets was one of the most lovable cast members on the hit A&E series. He was known as "The Gambler" after joining the series since its inception in December 2010.
Sheets appeared in more than 160 episodes for 15 seasons. Sheets' son, Brandon, was also a lovable sidekick on the series before they had a falling out.
Sheets appeared alongside the original cast members, including Dave Hester (Mr. Yeepppp), Jarrod Schulz and Brandi Passante (known as The Young Guns), Barry Weiss (The Collector), and Dan and Laura Dotson, the auctioneers.
Life After the Show
According to TMZ, Sheets retired in Lake Havasu, Arizona, where he ran the antique shop Havasu Show Me Your Junk.
Sheets also appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and on Rachel Ray's cooking show.
