Mercury touches 41.2°C in city, the highest this season
Bhubaneswar sweltered under intense heat as the mercury soared to 41.2°C. This marked one of the hottest days of the summer season. Coastal areas recorded temperatures above 40°C for the first time this month. Many residents stayed indoors to escape the scorching sun. The sharp rise in temperature boosted sales of cold drinks and juices at roadside stalls.
