There’s something about Emily: MAGA babe revealed to be scam artist
Millions of Republicans in the US were duped by what they thought was a blonde, conservative MAGA supporter – who turned out to be an AI-generated image made by a man thousands of miles away.
Medical student Sam created ‘Emily Hart’, a thin Republican woman who loves Jesus, beer and America, and made her an account on Instagram.
‘Every Reel I posted was getting 3 million views, 5 million views,’ Sam told Wired. ‘I haven’t seen any easier way to make money online.’
After creating ‘Emily’ in January, she garnered hundreds of thousands of followers with posts about bible studies and current affairs.
‘Every day I’d write something pro-Christian, pro-Second Amendment, pro-life, anti-woke, and anti-immigration,’ he added.
One post read: ‘If you want a reason to unfollow: Christ is king, abortion is murder, and all illegals must be deported.’
Photos of the bikini-clad MAGA ‘woman’ went viral, as she posted increasingly divisive takes online and was praised for her honesty.
‘POV: You were assigned intelligent at birth, but you identify as liberal,’ one post said.
After monetising the content, Sam began raking in cash, unbeknownst to those who thought they were following a real person.
‘The MAGA crowd is made up of super dumb people. And they fall for it,’ Sam said.
Sam isn’t the only one to cash in on the world of MAGA influencing. An AI-generated ‘America First’ influencer called Jessica Foster went viral last month.
She shared fake images of herself with Donald Trump, thanking him for his service.
Some photos were generated to look as though they were taken in the White House with the President.

In the fake profile’s bio, a link to OnlyFans is included, where the person running the account sells foot fetish materials.
The biography of her OF account reads: ‘public servant by day, troublemaker by night. i’m new to this, don’t be rude please. btw i respond to every message, but be patient since I’m not a robot haha.’
Jessica and Emily’s accounts appear to have been taken down by Instagram, as they violate the rules for not disclosing AI-generated media.
Still, the damage is done.
