Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster’s relationship is still going strong, but it’s not their big smiles that are giving away those clues; it’s something more subtle.

On April 19, the talented duo showed up on the red carpet together for the premiere of Jackman’s The Sheep Detectives. While they appeared to be in a jovial mood, their choice of wardrobe signaled a shift in the Wolverine star’s public persona. He and Foster were color-coordinated in outfits that perfectly complemented each other.

The 57-year-old actor looked sharp in a monochromatic blue-gray suit paired with shiny black shoes. Foster sparkled in a floral dress with pink as the base color and glittering blue-gray sequins on top, a silhouette from Markarian’s Resort 2026 collection, per InStyle. She accessorized with baby pink heels and simple drop earrings. The matching look is something outside of Jackman’s wardrobe norm.

The message they appear to be sending on the red carpet is that they are a united front, and this relationship is real. The couple has been plagued with rumors that their romance began while he was married to Deborra-Lee Furness and she was married other Ted Griffin. While the alleged affair hasn’t been confirmed by either Jackman or Foster, Furness took the matter into her own hands.

“My heart and compassion goes out to everyone who has traversed the traumatic journey of betrayal,” she said to the outlet. “It’s a profound wound that cuts deep; however, I believe in a higher power and that God/the universe, whatever you relate to as your guidance, is always working FOR us,” she wrote in a May 2025 statement to the Daily Mail.

Despite the ongoing fuss, the Broadway stars are reportedly serious enough that they are considering marriage — but there’s a hitch. Jackman’s adopted children with Furness, Oscar, 25, and Ava, 20, are “incredibly protective of their mom,” per Star Magazine.

Foster also shares a daughter, Emily, 11, with Griffin, and she has to wait until her divorce is finalized. “Both want their loved ones with them to celebrate; they want to be loud and proud now. They aren’t outright opposed to eloping, but it isn’t either of their dream scenarios,” the source added.

Still, Jackman and Foster are continuing to let their romance blossom, and their subtle fashion clues are telling everyone that their love is here to stay.
