‘Blatant fraud’: Texas sues ActBlue for deceiving consumers about ‘unlawful donation processes’
The state of Texas has sued the massive Democrat fundraising scheme called ActBlue, which is credited with processing billions and billions of dollars for their leftist agendas, charging it was deceptive to consumers about its “unlawful donation processes.”
Attorney General Ken Paxton says the Democrat operation worked to “subvert our laws and compromise the integrity of our elections.”
ActBlue has been the target of much criticism over the processes it uses to take money from donors and hand it out to Democrats. There long have been allegations of improper conduct and actions, including the highly volatile issue of taking money for foreigners for U.S. elections, which isn’t allowed.

Paxton said in his announcement about the case he’s charging ActBlue with misleading consumers about its procedures that allow “fraudulent and foreign donations to undermine the integrity of our nation’s elections.”
“The radical left has relied on ActBlue as a way to funnel foreign donations and dark money into the political campaigns to subvert our laws and compromise the integrity of our elections,” he charged. “ActBlue lied to Congress and to the American people and I will ensure justice is served.
“It has blatantly ignored state law that prohibits deceptive practices, and it must pay for its illegal conduct. Fair elections are the foundation of our democracy, and I will work to ensure no illegal campaign donation flies under the radar,” he said.
The organization is credited with processing about $16 billion since it was started in 2004.
Two years ago, Paxton launched an investigation into whether ActBlue was “enabling donor fraud” in violation of state law. The next year he sent a petition for rulemaking to the Federal Elections Commission regarding how “suspicious actors” were making donations to Democrats.
ActBlue then claimed it stopped illegal activities,
But Paxton charges that ActBlue was lying.
In fact, he noted that ActBlue’s own outside counsel admitted the organization’s representations about donation safeguards were not true.
Social media responded:
“Finally! Someone is doing something about their blatant fraud.”
“This all started when Obama was first elected, the birth of ActBlue, and the required CVC code was dropped for foreign donations.”
“Is it just civil or will be or can be also criminal … ”
“It’s time to break the bank that has been funding corrupt elections for years.”
“This is huge!”
The Gateway Pundit reported Texas previously confirmed evidence that political contributions were being made in people’s names without their knowledge.
