Jonah Hill Shares Wild Story of What Happened When Rihanna Gave Him “4/20” Bday Gift

Without a doubt, Rihanna is one of the most iconic pop stars the world has ever seen. She has an impressive 14 number-one Billboard hits, has sold over 60 million albums and 215 million digital tracks worldwide, and amassed an allegiance of fans affectionately dubbed the Navy. That being said, the “Umbrella” musician is on the cover of April’s W Magazine, and the publication is celebrating her legacy. In a more unique approach, W Magazine specifically asked a few of the star’s collaborators, peers, and her long-term partner, rapper A$AP Rocky, to share some of their favorite Rihanna moments and what makes her so special. Among the celebs offering their take was actor Jonah Hill. 

For those who may have forgotten, Rihanna and Hill starred alongside one another in the 2013 movie, This Is the End. After wrapping production, Rihanna was on hand to help Hill celebrate his birthday, and this night apparently got a bit wild. 

Jonah Hill and Rihanna Shared a Birthday “Joint” 

W Magazine writer Maxine Wally asked the Oscar-nominated actor, “Rihanna was your co-star in the 2013 film This Is the End. What’s your favorite memory of her?” Hill then replied: 

“After we shot This Is the End, I ran into her at a bar, and it was my birthday. She had a joint and was generous enough to share with my friends, and one of my friends got so stoned that she pooped her pants. Rihanna has that ‘make your friends shit their pants’ weed.”

That’s not exactly the memory many were probably expecting to hear. However, it was a real one, and Hill kept it honest. Thankfully, he didn’t reveal the friend who had the accident.

Also contributing to the cover spread was the legendary Mariah Carey. The topic came up of the viral moment when, in 2024, at one of Mariah Carey’s concerts, Rihanna showed up as a fan. The latter asked Mariah to autograph her chest. Fast forward to the present, and Carey said of the occasion: 

“She brings such great energy! The chest-signing moment was a li’l out of the ordinary, but I thought it was hilarious!”
