This includes major projects such as:

The East Birmingham Metro Extension will serve key locations including Millenium Point, Birmingham City University, Curzon Street Station, Digbeth and Sports Quarter. It will also act as a springboard for the longer-term plan to extend the Metro from Sports Quarter through the east of the city to North Solihull, Birmingham Airport, NEC, and Arden Cross. The committed £300m Metro Extension to Sports Quarter (targeted to be operational in 2030) will directly facilitate the catalytic £3bn investment by Knighthead Capital Management into Birmingham Sports Quarter
