Following a frustrating 2-2 draw with Brighton and Hove Albion, Tottenham Hotspur must now find a way to turn their improved performance into three points as they prepare for a trip to Molineux. If De Zerbi can get his starting XI right, Spurs could well be on course for a win, and we have identified the Tottenham line-up we want to see against Wolves.
Pedro Porro made it clear, following the stalemate, that Spurs cannot afford to dwell too much on missed opportunities.
The focus must now turn to their next Premier League outing, where they take on a Wolverhampton Wanderers side who are also struggling for consistency.
Both sides head into the clash in poor form, with Wolves winless in their last three outings. Tottenham are also enduring a difficult period and remain winless in their last 15 attempts in 2026, making this fixture a crucial moment for the campaign.
Despite the late heartbreak of a Georginio Rutter equaliser, the draw against Brighton should serve as a confidence booster for the Lilywhites, who looked much better in that game than they have all year.
If the men under Roberto De Zerbi can replicate a similar level of performance, they could well be on course to secure their first win of the calendar year and keep their survival hopes alive.

Tottenham face Wolves test as De Zerbi weighs up lineup decision
There is no denying that De Zerbi got a lot of things right regarding his tactical setup against Brighton.
Tottenham looked like a much better team from defence to attack as they pressed as a unit, and there was plenty of interesting combination play on display, especially down the left flank.
We believe that if De Zerbi can keep five top performers from the Brighton game in the side for the Wolves trip, Spurs could walk away with all three points.
This forms the basis for the lineup we want to see next weekend, where we simply want to see the back four remain unchanged despite the mistake made by Kevin Danso.
While there is a possibility of Guglielmo Vicario returning to the starting lineup, we would rather Spurs stick with Antonin Kinsky, who has barely put a foot wrong.
Ahead of him, a back four of Porro, Danso, Micky van de Ven and Destiny Udogie should remain. Udogie has been immense on the left and linked up well with Dominic Solanke and Simons, so it only makes sense for that partnership to develop.
Mathys Tel and Conor Gallagher must start for Spurs against Wolves
Midfield is where De Zerbi might be tempted to change things, but at the moment, we do not see the need for him to do so.
Yves Bissouma, Rodrigo Bentancur and Conor Gallagher all worked well against Brighton, and we want to see them continue in the centre of the pitch for Tottenham.
It is a move away from the youthful exuberance we have been used to seeing since the turn of the year, but there is no denying that the more experienced players improved the display in the middle of the park.
Bissouma’s ball-winning capabilities alongside the composure of Bentancur were crucial in the last outing, and long may that continue.
Gallagher probably had his best game in a Spurs shirt in a more advanced role, bringing some much-needed energy to the attack, where he also helped with the pressing.
In the front line, we would love to see Simons keep his place in the side, where he is given the license to roam and create. That freedom saw the 22-year-old grab a goal and an assist against the Seagulls and hopefully he continues to build on that momentum.
Solanke did not grab a goal last time out, but his display was much better than what we saw against Sunderland. He is getting into a fine rhythm, and his hold-up play is currently better than anything else Spurs have at the moment.
Alongside him, however, we expect to see a change with Randal Kolo Muani being dropped for Mathys Tel.
The Parisian forward has barely had an impact on the attack and we believe that after two sub-par displays, Muani should be dropped for Tel, who should bring a new dimension with his directness and dribbling.
